The Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) has an educational opportunity for Grade 6 learners living in Gauteng.

SSP invites South Africa’s future leaders to apply to join their programme from 2011. SSP identifies high potential learners in grade 6 that have the intelligence and drive to attend some of Johannesburg’s best high schools, but who do not have the economic means to do so.

To qualify, learners need to fulfill the following criteria:
Be in grade 6 in 2010
Be 12 years old or younger in 2010
Achieve an aggregate of 65% and above
Achieve 65% and above in Math, English and Science
Have a clear financial need
The scholarship generously covers tuition fees for five years, stipends, various workshops and activities, psychological support and additional mentorship.
