Market Theatre - Johannesburg

The Market Theatre, founded in Johannesburg in 1976 by Mannie Manim and the late Barney Simon, was constructed out of Johannesburg's Indian Fruit Market - built in 1913. The theatre went on to become internationally renowned as South Africa's "Theatre of the Struggle".

Baxter Theatre - Cape Town

The Baxter Theatre Centre provides an exciting forum for the celebration of life which is the essence of live theatre, music and dance. It is one of the major live theatre venues in Cape Town and has always been at the forefront of the performing arts both as a popular venue and as a leading producer.

Artscape Theatre - Cape Town

The Artscape Theatre Centre, which belongs to the provincial administration, was opened on 19 May 1971 as the Nico Malan Theatre Centre. In line with the new South African political dispensation and the concurrent changes the complex was renamed to Artscape in March 2001.

Theatre on the Bay - Cape Town

Not only does this intimate theatre host the best shows in town, it is also home to the Act I Theatre Café. This fabulous restaurant is open for dinner both before and after the show, and the small, diverse menu is changed seasonally.

Maynardville Open-Air Theatre - Cape Town

The Maynardville Open-Air Theatre is situated in Maynardville Park, Wynberg. The spectacular green wooded park has earned it the repution for is one of the best-loved outdoor theatre venues in the Cape Region.

Catalina Theatre - Durban

The Catalina Theatre is the dream of Durban Thespian, Director, Producer and Performing Arts Personality - Mr Themi Venturas. Built on Catalina flying boats Control Tower on Wilson's Wharf - the theme, decor and personality reflect the ambience of a creative and dramatic flying machine.

PACOFS - Free State

PACOFS is the flag ship of theatre activities in the Free State Province, the central region of South Africa. It is a Playhouse where an environment is provided for artists to practice and perform their different art forms.
