Born in Sebokeng, Gauteng Province Thabo moved to Cape Town in 2003 to further his musical studies at the South African College of Music, University of Cape Town. Thabo is one of the few professional steel pan players in Cape Town He is inspired by master steel drum players such as Len “Boogsie” Sharpe and Andy Narell. Thabo also plays in Afrotropica Steel Band Project. Besides steelplan Thabo is also a multi instrumental percussionist and piano teacher. When he is not on stage performing Thabo is teaching at an Arts & Culture high school.
