| PARTICIPATION: |
Open to any team of 2 |

| SUBMISSION: |
Two playwriting sessions from 13:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 –
20:00 |
| |
Participants can participate in either or both |
| |

| VOTING: |
Online through pansa.org.za |

Closes at 00:00 Tuesday |

| REQUIREMENTS: |
a computer with an internet connection |

Twitter account |
| |
|
| TASK: |
Your team must write a short one act play during the hour provided
using twitter as your mode of expression. |
| |
|
| LOGISTICS: |
- If you don’t have a twitter account, set one up quickly at www.twitter.com
- Send an email to live@pansa.org.za
with TWEET in the subject line. Include the following:
- the full names of your two person team
- state whether you are residents of the Western Cape
- a two letter name for your team
- each of your twitter usernames – “@albert”

| ON DAY: |
- On the PANSA website you will find the starting point for your play
– also put through @pansatweet –placed online
at 12:00
- In the hour provided write “tweet” your play, alternating between
yourself and your team partner.
Each tweet does not only have to be dialogue, but can include stage
directions…
- VERY IMPORTANT – you must end each line of the
play with the following TWO hashtags
- #(two letter team name) - #bo
- #ctlive
For example: Your tweet could look a little something like this:
Jon: Mary, what’s wrong? #bo #ctlive
If you fail to add the hashtags, it will be as if you have not
written the next line of your play!
- when your play is complete, both team members must finish off with
: the end #(two letter team name) #ctlive
- if any difficulties occur within the process send a message to
@pansatweet

| VIEWING: |
PANSA will attempt to carry a live feed of the playtweeting process
during the two time slots.
Otherwise, simply log on to twitter and search for either the
#team name or #ctlive.
If you search for the team name, you will be able to follow the play
as they write it.
At the end of each writing slot, PANSA will place the completed
scripts on to the PANSA website,
where audience members will be allowed to vote for their favourite
script |

| NEXT STEP: |
The winning team (after online voting has closed, at midnight, and
all votes have been counted)
will be put forward for THE FINAL BYTE session on Sunday (R10 000
Grand Prize).
The curator of the festival will contact to liaise with you. |

| GENERAL NOTES: |
- All rights to the material generated from CT Live! will rest with
the artists.
The artists will give PANSA the rights to perform the work and will
give PANSA and
the Department of Economic Development and Tourism the right to hold
the material
for archival purposes and use the material for promotional
purposes
- To enter the competition for R10,000 - at least one member of the
playtweeting team must be a resident of the Western Cape.

- Participants can:
- submit multiple entries for the day
- submit entries for other days of the festival
- take part in the OFFLINE/OFFLINE/LIVE section of the festival
